ArkScribe is built on a "privacy-first" principle. We never collect, store, or transmit your personal data. The permissions we request are strictly for the extension's core functionality.
1. Storage
Allows ArkScribe to save your guides directly in your browser's local storage. This is NOT cloud storage; data remains on your computer only.
2. activeTab
Gives the extension temporary access to the tab you are currently using when you click the icon, allowing it to capture the URL and title for your guide.
3. unlimitedStorage
Allows ArkScribe to request more space within the browser's secure sandbox so you can create detailed guides with many high-resolution screenshots.
4. Notifications (Optional)
Used to show helpful alerts, such as when an export is complete or if an error occurs.
We believe in full transparency. All processing happens locally on your computer.
